Can’t afford Audible/Apple’s prices? Me either!

I’m seeing this a loooooot like, back-to-back-to-back in my active reader groups, so I’m going to share here too.

“I cannot afford Audible” or “Audible is so expensive” , “How can I listen to books without paying their $15/ month for ONE credit”

Well. Many titles are ACX-exclusive, meaning you can’t just get any of them anywhere, but there is no shortage of Audiobooks out there, and you do not have to pay Audible’s prices. 🙂

🔵 Get a library card. Just google your county/city/state & “library” and if you’re literate, you’ll figure it out. (I’ve got several cards to libraries I’ve never set foot in, I just borrow digital and audiobooks.)

….. Speaking of which, many offer out-of-staters cards for a fee also.

🔵 Chirp. Sign up for your fave genre(s) and you’ll get daily emails with what’s on sale. Sometimes sales prices even go as low as $0.00

🔵 Be willing to write honest reviews!!

Many authors, production-situation variant, get at least a few codes to give out to the major retailers and will give them to active, honest reviewers.

… ^Where do you find those authors?

……🔵 Facebook groups

……🔵 Follow them—their newsletter, FB, IG, wherever they hang out.

……🔵StoryOrigin (Yes, it’s for READERS too—link: https://storyoriginapp.com/audiobookreviewcopies

……🔵Audiobooks Unleashed

……🔵Pink Flamingo Productions has a team.

…….. You get the idea, I can’t name EVERY place I’ve ever found a free or cheap audiobook but those’ll get you started.
