DiamondsTEASER

He’s an ex-con on the right side of the law, she’s a good girl trying hard not to settle down.

Sebastian loves his job. Private recovery means he gets to do what he does best while staying out of jail. But then a mark turns personal. Daria could be so much more than a means to an end, and the item he needs to re-acquire for his client. Can he ignore the spark, or will he give in even if it means jeopardizing the assignment and possibly his career?

Daria is sick of men in general and the boring, stuffy types her father keeps setting her up with in the hopes she’ll settle down and give him grandkids. Unfortunately, the only man who sparks any interest in her is a bad boy with a checkered past. Unfortunately, a bad boy who’s a good man is the hardest to resist…

While Daria struggles to figure out her own feelings, Sebastian must decide between the girl he’s just met and his job.

Cover: Beautiful and professionally done.
Formatting: Professional
Pace: Very fast!
Cliff hanger: No – wraps up nicely.
Character development: Brilliant. Complex characters/

Daria comes off a little bit snobbish at first but she really is relatable and likable – really she’s just sick of shallow people herself and is surprised when she meets someone real.
Sebastian is mysterious – in a fun way. Sure, he’s made bad choices but he works hard to stay on the right side of the law now.

Daria is the first woman who isn’t swooning for him off the bat – and as much as he hates to admit it, he ends up intrigued by her.

This novel was really hard to put down – it has drama and crime, a bit of romance, a steamy scene, more drama, then some action. I love that it didn’t leave me hanging – I cannot wait to read more of this series. It’s a well designed series in that it’ll leave you wanting more, but not going crazy because Cosgrove wraps things up nicely. It’s a quick escape from reality – and a fun one at that.

There’s mystery surrounding Sebastian’s present and Daria’s past – watching it all unfold was fascinating.
