I haven’t read anything really good for awhile; I’d been struggling to finish most of what I’ve checked out lately .
This book sucked me in immediately and was a much needed escape – it was completely fun all the way through and now I need Jeffrey to write more and turn this into a regular series!

5 out of 5 stars  –

This book gripped me within seconds; I took an immediate liking to both Mina and Miko and felt propelled into the times as the technology available to them seemed to pretty much fit with the times. You know how in some futuristic tales, it just gets kinda ridiculous? I didn’t find that to be going on here at all and just wanted to know more.

Before I knew it, I was about 2/3 of the way into this book – it really is a super fast read as there is action, mystery, a bit of drama all going on at once and it’s impossible to put down. I had to tear myself away so that I could get some sleep in time to be not-totally-useless for work a few hours later the first time I picked it up. The second time, well, I knew to not pick it back up until I could finish it as this book just constantly left me needing more.

Mina is a really well developed character as her objectivity and integrity repeatedly show through; this supports the reasons for why she landed in the predicament she did, making for excellent continuity. Miko was also brilliantly designed and I’d very much like to see more of these girls and hope that this turns into a series because I could definitely use a regular dose of these girls and the AIA.
